Massachusetts State Police arrested two people for cocaine trafficking in Brockton.

On Tuesday night around 10:20 p.m., troopers arrested two men on Court Street on numerous drug offenses, including trafficking cocaine. 

A trooper saw a 2002 Mercury Sable speeding and pulled the vehicle over. He located various substances believed to be cocaine and heroin inside the car, as well as $6,000 in cash. 

Laroy Cox, 43, was arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to distribute a class A drug, possession of a class B drug, drug violation near a school/park, conspiracy to violate the drug law, speeding and following too closely. 

The passenger, Joseph Jean, 32 of Brockton, was arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute class A drug, possession of a class B drug, possession with intent to distribute class B drug, conspiracy to violate the drug law, and drug violation near a park/school. 

Both men were denied bail and transported to Plymouth County House of Correction pending arraignment in Brockton District Court.
